authorize.net - UK (GBP) not US

Hi,

I've just signed up.

I've been looking to connect with authorize.net in the UK (not the US) and was advised to check whether you're able to deal with authorize.net in the UK with GBP as opposed to $US.

    Phil, thanks for trying out our service. Unfortunately right now the only payment solution we can offer for the UK is PayPal.

    Oh no? Really? You're not able to work with authorise.net uk?

    I've been searching everywhere for something and you guys were my last hope. I'm currently with invoicera but I really hate it :(

    Have you any plans to sort authorize.net uk out?

    Phil, actually I'm not sure.

    Cashboard works fine with Authorize.net, but I was unaware there was even an Authorize.net UK until right now.

    Let me figure out if there's any difference and get back to you.

    Thank you. Here's what I got back from the uk division today:

    "Hi Phil,
     
    Authorize.Net has been around for years in the US, the solution we’ve opened up to the UK, Europe and Canada is exactly the same API as the Authorize.Net US one, the only thing to double check with any third party solution, as I’ve seen this a couple of times, is that they are happy integrating withAuthorize.Net in a different currency than USD. Some Third party software out there have hard coded the $ symbol into the solution thus would not work in GBP or EURO."

    Oh hey, right on - that's excellent.

    We don't hard code currency - we send transactions to all payment processors in whatever currency you've set your account to.

    So, as long as you've set your proper currency when signing up (or under the Settings > Preferences screen), we'll transmit the proper currency to Auth.net.

    Thanks for bringing up that Authorize.net works in those other countries. I was unaware. You'd think they'd email us to let us know since we're an integration partner! :p
