Hi, I want to change or remove the text 'Created from Estimate XXX' that is automatically added to the notes area of deposit invoices. We provide fixed quotes and I don't want to scare clients by describing it as an estimate right before they commit to us by paying a deposit!

Thank you

I'm pretty sure if you simply edit the invoice you can delete that bit out of the "notes" section.

One question - why would that text "scare" anyone? I'm lost here.

    Hi Seth

Thanks for your reply. I went to edit the invoice and couldn't see where
this is coming from - it looks like it might be hard coded into Cashboard.

We've moved away from describing things as 'estimates' because clients
didn't like the risk that the project cost might increase. We used to call
our proposals 'estimates' to protect ourselves but over time, we realised
that we never actually increased the cost to the client even if we'd got it
wrong, as that was our mistake. So now we provide fixed quotes but make the
requirements clear in our 'proposals' (no longer 'estimates'!) so that if
the client changes the requirements, we can get away with charging more.

I've managed to change the terminology to 'Proposals' everywhere else on
Cashboard that our clients see, and this is the only remaining reference to
    'estimates'.

    Best regards

Mind sending over a screenshot so I can be sure exactly what you're talking
    about?

Here's a screenshot without any client data showing, the reference to 'estimate' is in the 'Notes' bit in the middle.

    Thanks Seth

    This isn't hard coded...

Edit the invoice and change the inputs in the boxes shown on the image attached.

    Hope that helps!
