Add configuration option for "From" name on auto-generated emails

I'd like to be able to configure the From: line for discussion-enabled emails (invoices, estimates, etc). I'm experiencing a situation where my clients become confused as to my actual email address because invoices and estimates have my name in the From field, rather than "My Name: Billing", or similar. Client mail programs are grouping all the [email blocked] addresses under my contact card. Given a different From name, this would not happen.

I looked in the Doc Templates section of my settings, but the highest up I could edit was the "Subject" line. It would be great if I could edit the "From" on a per-template basis, or at least a system-wide level for comment-enabled emails.

Thanks for a great product!

I believe you can already easily do this by editing the contact your
    Cashboard account "belongs" to.

Simply add a new employee of your account, make them an admin, then assign
them as te account "owner" under Settings > Preferences

Thanks for that solution. I have one of your legacy "Freelancer" accounts,
and can't add another employee. Additionally, adding an employee strictly
to make them the 'owner' of the account would require an additional $5 per
month for most people's accounts, so it seems to be more of a workaround to
this situation, rather than an actual configurable variable. Would you
agree? Is there a way that I'm not seeing that I could avoid the
additional $5/mo if I already had 2 or 3 actual employees?

    Thanks.

Unfortunately no. The method I mentioned is the only way to handle it now, unless you'd like to change the information on your actual account under Contacts.

Thanks for the suggestion though and we'll consider it.
