Is there any way to add a file or note that the client can see when they login to the client area? It would be helpful but I can't see a way. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Ronick,

No there's not a way to add anything like this to the client interface
    currently.

Just curious - what would be the content/purpose of this message?

We provide our clients with reports and I needed some way to give them
either a link to the report or be able to upload the report so they see it
when they login. I'm actually looking for another software that can do that
but I liked yours so I thought I would ask first.

Something like Basecamp (http://basecamp.com) would be perfect for this. I
    use it myself.

We integrate with the older version of their program (Basecamp Classic),
and will be working on integrating with the newest version shortly. Our
integration syncs clients / tasks between the two programs.

I understand. I just don't like the idea of paying for two different
programs to do this. Especially when I only need that one feature. There
has to be a program that allows you to share files/notes and invoice
    combined.

    Thanks,

    Ronick

I understand totally - and we are considering extending our project
management to include stuff like this.

In the meantime, you might be able to get away with using Dropbox (
https://www.dropbox.com/) and including links to files within your invoice
    comments or notes.

I know a few customers who work this way, and it works for them. Dropbox is
free for I believe 2gb storage, so you shouldn't have to pay for 2 programs
    this way :)
