Credit balance on Invoice

I created a Deposit Invoice and it was paid. Then I had hours and expenses accumulate. My client wants to know how much is left on the retainer (deposit). I created an invoice that deducts the charges and marks the invoice as paid... but it doesn't show her credit balance. How can I create an invoice that shows the remaining balance?

    Hi Mary,

Go to the payment you took as a deposit (Income > Payments > Find the payment taken as a deposit). There you can download a PDF. I believe it should have applied/remaining amounts on it.

It is close but still doesn't show the remaining balance. See attached.

Sorry about that. The best way I think right now then would be to take a screen shot of the actual payment page where it shows that, and send that to her.

I apologize, as I hadn’t thought of this exact situation when designing the PDF. I’m making a note as something to update when we start rolling out fixes in a couple weeks.
