- Joe" …then estimate with each rate, but I'd advise against
it.</p>
<p>I understand some companies might have a need to bill out at
different rates per-developer, but generally estimating that way is
confusing to clients. In my experience, and in working with larger
consulting firms the standard practice is to quote for the higher
rate, and pocket the difference.</p>
