How to show custom_1 from contacts company on invouce

i have an invoice template and want to show the vat number i have set in custom_1 of the contact company field,

i really have tried every combination ... doenst show the value ...

    Hi Wouter, sorry about the confusion — but you didn't try every combination.

    If this is indeed on the invoice template, what you're looking for is {{
    invoice.client.custom_1 }}

    I want only to print the country if the client country is set or client country is not Belgium


    I have done this …


    {% if client.country_name && client.country_name != 'Belgium' %}

      {{ client.country_name }}

    {% endif %}


    But not right I think …

    sorry im here again, i have an other question,
    in Europe we put the zip before the city ... is it possible to set this as standard? check screenshot,

    thanks alot, ... im almost ready with tuning and customizing this great tool ... will save me hours in the next year :-)

    There are 2 methods of including an address in your invoice. The first, which is the default is by using {{ invoice.address }}. This is why your changes to the 'client' template are not showing up.

    What you need to do is replace {{ invoice.address}} with {{ include 'client' for invoice.client }}

    That will use the 'client' html template instead of our auto-format, which allows you to control how it displays instead.
