Paypal link not working; Duplicate project names
Hi there-
I've had 2 clients in the past week have difficulty linking to paying via Paypal from the invoice. Can you troubleshoot?
Re: project names. I work on a lot of dissertations, so the project name "Dissertation" suits me fine. A while ago, the system suddenly decided that "duplicate" project names weren't OK, so I named a few after the client - "Dissertation: Ruth." The system shortly changed its mind and I was able to have duplicate project names again. In your most recent updates, however, this has reverted. I like being able to name the project whatever it is - Dissertation, Thesis - because it is already differentiated by virtue of the fact that it belongs to a different client! Please help and/or fix.
Thanks again for making Cashboard such a time-saving program! It
is the best!

I can troubleshoot if you give me more information. What exactly did they have issues with?
This is not a feature that's ever changed - but perhaps you're unclear on the rule.
Projects must have unique names - that belong to the same client. So you can have a project named "Dissertation" for Client A, and Client B - but you can't have two projects called "Dissertation" for Client A.
That's the rule, and it's been like this since Cashboard started.
Hope that clears things up.

Hi Seth.
I'll get specific feedback regarding the PayPal issue from my client.
With respect to the duplicate project name problem, this happened when I was creating a brand new (and very first) project for a brand new client, so there could not have been duplicate projects for this client. Thoughts?

If you can reproduce this please give me the exact client & project name and I can look into it.
We have automated tests that check these sorts of business rules though, so I'd be shocked if something like that is happening.

No worries. Let me know how I can help with PayPal.
PS: Have you considered using our new Stripe payment processing instead?
It's a lot nicer.

Here's what my client said:
"I just got a blank page and at the very bottom it said: "Done with errors
on page". It wasn't very specific, was it? :P"
I'll check out Stripe!

Rebekka do you have any idea what browser your customer is using? Also, did
they receive the error on the PayPal site or on ours?
