<p>1) no payment is due until next month (so how do I lift the
current limitations today if I wanted to?)</p>
</blockquote>
<p>You simply change to the new plan and it will kick in
immediately. You will be billed when your current month is up.</p>
<blockquote>
<p>2) there's no way to tell it to keep using the same ccard that's
on account -- it insists I re-enter everything. Why can't it use
the existing info?</p>
</blockquote>
<p>We could use the existing info, but it's better if we capture
the most up to date billing information any time that we can. We
lose a significant amount of business due to cards lapsing without
being updated - so grabbing the most up to date information is
advantageous for us.</p>
<p>Apologies for the inconvenience.</p></div>Seth Btag:help.cashboardapp.com,2012-10-23:Comment/290015242013-09-25T07:50:31Z2013-09-25T08:17:29Zupgrades vs. payments<div><p>Convenience does not play a factor in my mind.</p>
<p>These two answers are not compatible. You can not simply change
to the new plan -- it requires you to re-enter your credit card
info.</p>
<p>In my case, this seems absurd because I was just billed/charged
two days ago! If I do nothing, it will bill me again in 30
days.</p>
<p>Personally, I am growing increasingly uncomfortable entering my
credit card info online, ESPECIALLY in situations when it's not
needed.</p>
<p>I much prefer PayPal simply because I do NOT have to enter my
credit card info at all. It's MUCH SAFER, and actually far less
hassle dealing with fraudulent situations than credit and debit
cards. More and more big name retailers are starting to accept
PayPal on their checkout pages, which I find very exciting.</p>
<p>While I'm sympathetic to your business situation, I'm not
concerned about your business losses due to how your billing
methods are designed.</p>
<p>Rather, I'm most concerned about the risk of having my ccard
info stolen because your system cannot figure out that my card
doesn't expire for two more years, so I need to reenter it
needlessly. If it cannot tell that this is not 2015 (the exp yr of
my card), I have to wonder what else it's not able to figure out.
It's like a blind man asking to see my driver's license to verify
my identity -- I'd have to wonder, "who else is watching?" and
"what are they doing with it?"</p>
<p>Upgrading is not a necessity at this time. Maybe I'll just wait
until my card expires.</p></div>David Schwartztag:help.cashboardapp.com,2012-10-23:Comment/290015242013-09-25T08:23:16Z2013-09-25T08:23:16Zupgrades vs. payments<div><blockquote>

<p>Please understand that we don't actually store your CC details.
They're stored with Stripe, not in our data center, so that we're
<a href=

PCI compliant.</a></p>
<p>All data is transmitted encrypted, directly to Stripe. We don't
actually even touch your CC info or store it at any point.</p>

<p>You asked a question and I answered it the most honest way
possible, trying to shed light on why we operate that section of
the app in the manner we do.</p>
<p>Your billing situation isn't that common - so it's not designed
exactly how you'd prefer. Again, apologies you hit a (small) rough
patch with the workflow of the software.</p>
<p>Thanks again for the feedback.</p></div>Seth B
