<p>Invoices are only associated with a project when you've invoiced
for time, expenses, and tasks from that project.</p>
<p>If you invoice directly from an estimate, that invoice will not
be associated with the any project you created from the
estimate.</p>

<p>(Lacy you asked me how it is going, and overall I love it other
than this one big hindrance)</p>
<p>Seth,</p>
<p>It makes sense what you said, but it doesn't really make sense
to me why<br>
a "deposit" invoice for project is not associate with that
project.</p>
<p>This is an integral part of our process, as 80% of our projects
run with<br>
3 or 4 "milestone" payments based off the estimate or quote. So
every<br>
project will have a deposit, and we will also need to create
another 1-2<br>
invoices during the project, and if we can't see them against a
project,<br>
then it is hard to track the $ of the project.</p>
<p>In a nut shell, this is how we work.</p>
<ol>
<li>Create Estimate</li>
<li>33% Deposit Invoice on Approval</li>
<li>Create Project</li>
<li>Log and Monitor Time</li>
<li>33% Milestone Invoice</li>
<li>Log and Monitor Time</li>
<li>33% Balance of Payment Invoice</li>
<li>Close Project and Report on Time.</li>
</ol>
<p>If you are planning on updating this, or can suggest how we can
run and<br>
monitor this process, then this would be amazing.</p>

- Also, we use Basecamp (not classic) and dabble with Zapier.. so
we would love some info here?<br>

<p>I fully understand your process, and Cashboard is designed to
handle exactly that. I see what you mean by wanting to associate
the deposit invoice (through the estimate) with your project - but
it simply doesn't work that way currently. I'll consider it.</p>
<p>Everything else will work perfectly as you describe, linking
invoices to projects that you've imported time & expenses for.
As mentioned previously, that's what "links" a project with an
invoice currently.</p>

<p>I do plan to integrate with the latest version of Basecamp when
possible, but some other things have taken priority in the interim.
Sorry, but I don't give out public timelines because I'm sure we'll
miss them.</p>

<p>I don't personally see any benefit for this, but am always open
to hear suggestions and take everyone's comments into account when
