Please watch https://www.screencast.com/t/StDUbfqkihTG . It has sound.
The video shows the issue. Below is more details

I have used Miscellaneous as the project, no task (I believe although some time entries might have been in a task called Miscellaneous) and used notes to further identify the work.
I used to be able to start a timer with no task but something is amiss.
I did click the Archive drop down to see if perhaps I had archived something and that was why. I am not clear if this is a menu to the archive actions and view or a menu command to simply archive.
I have clicked on the reopen for the project which I guess means that it was archived.
See also the error that was shown when I most recently did this. This did seem to change Miscellaneous task from crossed out to not crossed out.
But I dont see it below the project.
So I did see two tasks that where crossed out (completed, archived or....?). No
Now no tasks are shown below.
Please help.

    Hi Steven,

You’ve never been able to start a timer without an associated task in Cashboard.

The tasks associated with the project “Miscellaneous” have been marked as complete. You can re-open them by showing completed tasks (as illustrated in the image below), clicking the task, then choosing the “re-open task” button.
