Estimate Text too light
Can someone please help me with changing the Estimate number from light gray (default) to a darker color to make it easier to read. Our customers are having a hard time reading and finding it.
Also, is it possible to add a -R1 to the end of the quote number when revisions are being made without changing the numbering sequence as we have to revise our quotes quite often.
Thanks,
Kerry

No problem. I had someone go in and make the change for you.
You can change document numbers to whatever you wish, but please keep in mind there is a rule system in place for those numbers. You might want to read this help article just so you're aware how it works.

Let me know if I can help with anything else.

Hi Seth,
Can you do me one more favor and change it to say “QUOTE” instead of “ESTIMATE”.
Thanks, I really appreciate your quick response!

Hi Kerry, sure not a problem.
However, in the future you can make changes to that template that under
Settings > Templates. Edit the html_estimate template.

Seth,
Can you tell me where at in the html_estimate template that you made changes to the text color to make the quote number stand out better? Just curious so I can do this myself next time.
Thanks,
Kerry

It would actually be in the css_document template. It's the line that starts with "div.subheader"

Good morning Seth,
I need some more help!
Can you point me in the direction to change the text color under estimates where you add a task or product. The description text field is also to light in color.
I can make the changes if you can show me where to go…
Thanks again,
kerry

Anything having to do with color changes will be in that css_document file.
If you don't know CSS perhaps get some assistance from a web developer?

Thanks, I can not afford a web developer...maybe I just need to go back to Quick Books

Kerry,
Just to go out of our way and put our best foot forward here I've gone ahead and edited that file to make the text black. I also made everything else very "high contrast" so you should have no more complaints about not being able to see anything.
Generally this is not the sort of thing that we have time to do - especially with the "threat" of our customers moving on or "back" to other software.
That being said - we have been working for awhile on a feature which will provide stock templates - perhaps 10 or so for people not comfortable with HTML/CSS. Since that's not ready to go yet, I've made an exception here.
Please understand that we are trying the best we can to improve Cashboard with our limited time - and requests like this just delay adding features for everyone (such as the stock templates described above).
I hope the template is nearly good enough for you and can hold you off until the feature I describe above is ready to go. Otherwise, I suppose we'll just have to be content with losing your business to Quickbooks. Such is life.
Best regards,

Thanks Seth, I don't me to complain or threaten with going back to QBs, but my customers were having a hard time reading my quotes and me nor any of my employees are good with programming! The templates would be great!
Thanks again,
Kerry
