<p>If you want to add text that's specific on an
invoice-by-invoice, or<br>
estimate-by-estimate basis, you're limited to using the "notes"
area for<br>
invoices, and "introduction text" and "terms" boxes on
estimates.</p>
<p>However, if you want to simply add text that will be on
<em>every</em> invoice or<br>
estimate you can edit the appropriate templates under the Settings
><br>
Template section.</p>
<p>The standard invoice template is called "html_invoice", and the
estimate<br>
one is "html_estimate". These are Liquid templates, as explained
here:<br>

<p>If you need assistance editing those templates or want me to add
